While we do not screen individuals in advance, all drivers and riders must possess a valid Bucknell email address in order to post a ride or get connected to a driver.
BisonRides is providing a matchmaking service to benefit Bucknell students both with and without cars. Drivers are able to find riders who are willing to pay for a trip to their destination. Riders are able to find more affordable and timely rides when they need them. Since all ride fees are transacted directly between the rider and the driver, the BisonRides connection fee covers the time and overhead needed to maintain this website and provide this service to the community.
Requiring a Bucknell email address ensures that all riders and drivers are part of the Bucknell University community. Please note that BisonRides does not screen riders or drivers using any additional methods.
BisonRides LLC is a student-owned and student-run business, It was started in 2023 by a Bucknell freshman who struggled to find transportation home to New England at every school break. BisonRides is not associated with Bucknell University or its affiliates.
If you are scheduled to drive and have confirmed riders, please make every effort to accommodate your riders. If you absolutely must cancel, please notify both your riders and BisonRides immediately so that we can try to connect your riders to another driver.
If you are scheduled to drive and have NO confirmed riders, please notify BisonRides immediately and we will update or remove your listing.
Consistent cancellation may result in suspension from the site.
When a seat sells, you will get a copy of the “new order” email from BisonRides. The order email will include the name and phone number of the driver. We ask all riders to reach out to their drivers when they receive your contact information. But, if for any reason you don’t hear from someone who has purchased a ride, feel free to reach out to them directly.

Rides can be as short or as long as you like. However, please note that BisonRides requires up to 48 hours to post your ride, so plan ahead!
If for any reason additional seats open in your car, you may notify us via email and we will update your listing to show the correct number of seats available.
BisonRides requires up to 48 hours to post your ride to our website. We recommend notifying us of available rides as early as possible. The longer your ride is posted, the greater the likelihood your seats get filled.
If your number of available seats changes due to arrangements made outside of BisonRides, please notify us immediately via email so that we can update your listing to reflect the correct availability.
Please note that this option is only available if there are still empty seats in your ride. BisonRides is not responsible for removing filled seats to accommodate outside arrangements.
Please notify us of any users that fail to uphold their end of the agreement. Riders that fail to fill their purchased seat or fail to provide the driver with the agreed upon amount may be subject to suspension from the site.
It is the responsibility of the driver to notify any riders in the event of a cancellation. We do not offer refunds on connection fees, however, If there is another available ride that works for you, please drop us an email and we will connect you free of charge.
To cancel a ride, please notify your driver directly. BisonRides does not offer refunds for any connection fees paid.
